Being a parent or caregiver is one of the most important jobs in the world and the first 2,000 days shape a child’s future, it is a critical time for physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. It is in this time children develop many of the skills and abilities that help them grow into productive adults and Karitane, My Community Pharmacy Shortland and the HNELHD team are committed to ensuring families in the community receive the support that best suits their needs.

What does new service include?

Our skilled and caring Child and Family Health Nurse works in partnership with your family to assist you in identifying and achieving your goals. This service includes individual consultations up to 2 hours for parenting concerns around sleep and settling, feeding, toddler behaviour, and adjusting to parenthood.
